A Bit About Me
With over a decade of experience in both school and hospital settings, my approach involves close collaboration with trans-disciplinary teams, working alongside various professionals to assess, create individualised plans, monitor goal progress, and provide holistic intervention for clients and their families. I am dedicated to continuous professional development and have been exposed and trained in various intervention methodologies such as structured teaching (TEACCH), the Hanen program, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Augmentative and Alternative Communication devices, DIR Floortime, Social Thinking, Talkabout, Language for Thinking, Jolly Phonics, Handwriting Without Tears, Orton-Gillingham literacy approach, Child Centre Play Therapy.
I firmly believe that every individual possesses the potential to learn and grow, with family partnership being paramount in unlocking and maximising that potential. As a mother of two, I understand the pivotal role caregivers play in a client's life and actively guide them in seamlessly incorporating therapy goals into daily routines for optimal learning opportunities. Having worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds, I acknowledge that there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I am committed to discovering, with each client, the strategies that work best for their unique needs and circumstances.
